OOTD #1

So today is a regular day at college so I thought I would throw on one of my favourite shirts. Defy Gravity from Wicked. I love this shirt not just because of the design but the fabric is really light and you don't get too hot. I also love the little label that says 'green for good' that always puts a smile on my face :)

For bottoms I am wear some black skinny jeans from Tesco. I struggle to find jeans that fit me well but I find Tesco never let me down. Also the fabric is easy to move in and comfortable to sit down for long periods of time.

I will finish this look with my black boots from yesterday's blog and my leather sleeved jacket from primark that is a couple of years old. I am sure you will see this in the near future!

Hope you enjoyed my little OOTD and like this casual look I am going for. I always try and make my outfit represent me and today its a little more obvious than others (I am a huge Wicked fan!)

Follow and come back for more I would appropriate it! Thanks for reading!

College Essentials

Hey,
So as I said before I am currently studying my A-levels. This means I need plenty of handy and practical things to keep me going!

First of all, my trusty pencil case- a minion of course! It is full of black and blue pens, a flexi 30cm ruler, pencils, post-it notes and of course a funky rubber or two :) I'm always trying to bring to life the simpler things- I am a slight stationary lover!

Now highlighters are a must for all the reading and photocopied sheets and  notes you have to take down as a year 13 student. They really help to make the important parts jump out!
This handy gadget I got from the local supermarket is brilliant because it hold 4 colours and ensures that they do not take up room in your pencil case. It also makes them accessible without having to rummage for ages to find the right colour!

Ring binders are a life saver for me, simple ones from Tesco are perfect. They are not to expensive and really do the job I need them to do! Our college doesn't have work books so these really keep me organised an ensure that all my subject stay separate and in the right place! I have 6 one for each subject teacher :) I take notes on lined A4 paper and then file it all away into these.
Comfortable footwear is also a college essential, well for me anyway. I have two favourite pairs, my black boots simply from Tesco that really make an outfit with jeans or dress and my Dunlop canvas shoes that are comfortable for the casual look, I find the Converse brand really hurt my feet but these fit perfectly.

Also a big bag that will fit anything and everything in it, textbook upon textbook and of course your lunch! oh and keep a memory stick handy the amount of coursework on mine is crazy! It means I can do my work wherever I am :)

I hope this has given you some inspiration of how to change or update your college life! If you want any more advice or ideas comment below or tweet me www.twitter.com/caryj97
Good luck with your studies and remember I am doing them too!

Introducing me :)

Hey anyone reading this.... I'm Cary, I'm 17 and currently studying my A-levels.
I have many an ambition in life but something that I have always wanted to do is a blog, so I hope people read this and more importantly come back for more!

So who am I?
This is me
I like to think I am an ambition, outgoing person who doesn't really care what other people think of me. However I am sure this will be tested in the near future.

I am a massive fan of musical theatre, however I have only seen 3, Wicked, Phantom of the Opera and Bodyguard. However I love musicals such as Matilda, Dogfight, Lion King and would love to see Mamma Mia and hundreds more in the West End. I am hoping to see Lion King and Wicked again later this year.

Jess and I

But school life (I am planning to do a college essentials blog later in the week) is really hard work but I know it will be worth it. Trying to balance hobbies, a job and volunteer work completing on-going coursework and homework can be a struggle, but some how I manage it! Even I'm not sure how I do this!

At school I have a small group of friends, both boys and girls. I find this a great unit to really be myself in and one of my friends- Jess is has also just started a blog! (please check it out she does like beauty and fashion- I will leave a link below)

So this is kind of a little introduction but I plan to do daily life kind of blogs, TBTs, OOTDs and advice kind of blogs, and I might through in a few funny ones too.

I hope you have enjoyed getting to know me but more will come when you read more of my blogs- I hope so please come back for more and let me know a little about you in the comments :)
